St. Bernards School & Orphanage
Kiswera Uganda

Thank you for your support, anything you can do will make a difference.

We urgently need your help to continue educating these kids!

St. Bernards School and orphanage Kiswera was founded more than 50 years ago to give a good education to socially and economically disadvantaged children in East Africa. The school is one of the few boarding schools in Uganda. It exists and is totally dependent on
donations
, fundraising and sponsors.

The school offers free secondary education to about 100 needy and orphan students. The majority of these students were made orphans because of the AIDS pandemic.

Please help us continue this work.

The school now has six hundred pupils, including three hundred boarders, and one hundred and ten orphans created by the "Aids epidemic". The orphans are totally dependant on the school and this is increasing.

The remaining students are day pupils from very poor families who can only pay a small amount in fees.
Some of these students are indeed so desperately poor that the school has to assist them with the basic necessities e.g books, pens etc. to enable them persue their studies.

We also continue to help support our students at University.
